Career Summary

Mohammad Azharul Islam is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Law, Manarat International University (MIU), Dhaka, Bangladesh. Before joining the Department of Law, MIU, he has served different private and public universities including Department of Law, University of Dhaka. He is an enrolled advocate of the Dhaka Judge Court, Bangladesh. Despite his appointment as an Assistant Judge in the subordinate judiciary of Bangladesh in 2008, he did not join. He is a member of the Shariah Council of First Security Islami Bank Limited (FSIBL) and the Shariah Supervisory Board of Center for Zakat Management (CZM). He is involved with a few research organizations. He has worked as a consultant in various projects of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids (CTFK), Bangladesh Bar Council, Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF), Mercy Corps etc. His articles have featured in leading research journals.
