The Department of Law at Manarat International University (MIU) started its journey about one decade ago in Summer 2009. It offers the Bachelor of Laws degree (LL.B. 4 year Honours). With a view to create good judges, legal experts, good administrators and conscious citizens of tomorrow, the Department has been working relentlessly. From its very inception, the Department took different initiatives to unveil the hidden potential of the learners. The Law Club is but a small fragment of those initiatives. Mooting, practicing and conducting scholarly seminars are integral parts of the academic activities of the Law Department. Participation of the Chief Justice of Bangladesh and other Judges of the Supreme Court as well as internationally reputed think-tanks and intellectuals in those seminars is a very common phenomenon. Keeping the commercial mentality aside, MIU has revived, to a great extent, the classic concept of a learner-friendly education system. Under this concept, the meritorious and poor students have the unique opportunity to study at MIU with ten to hundred percent waiver, provided that the concerned student has to be consistent in his academic progress. The Department of Law is bestowed with an excellent team of competent, young and efficient faculties trained mostly from the University of Dhaka and other reputed universities of home and abroad. Here the teachers are responsible and friendly. The students have the unique opportunity to fearlessly raise their voice inside the classroom and feel at home in sharing their academic and extra-academic problems with the teachers. The Department provides all facilities necessary for the development of students as academically sound, morally excellent and full-fledged human beings.
